GAIA Bridal introduces 'The One'

We have known the owners of GAIA Bridal for almost a decade and have always admired and respected their quiet confidence, creativity and sound business brains. Friendly, approachable, professional – all words I happily apply to Maria and Simon Ryan who head up this brilliant brand, which thrives at the forefront of the British bridal. Maria is the creative force behind the beautiful collections that have come to epitomise the label, personally sketching each new design in her studio in Wales.

Introducing The One – where we get a sneak peek at the stunning new styles from this beautiful 2024 collection. The new GAIA collection features the finest fabrics and lace: chic and modern, curve-caressing, silky smooth and oh-so-elegant. According to Maria and her many devoted boutique champions, the GAIA bride is a modern woman who knows what inspires and motivates her. She is fashion forward and values the ethics of sustainability.

Maria says: “At Harrogate, we will be presenting our designs, which are, as always focussed on being very sellable and made for brides to feel like the best versions of themselves on their wedding day. It’s all about fit and fabrics!”

Maria claims to be ‘one of those’ inspired by the fabrics she discovers that more often than not lead her down a design path. And she also doesn’t shy away from admitting that she frequently re-visits popular designs from the past to see if they can be re-invented, re-styled to bring new life to them, using the most up-to-date fabrics.

COLLECTION HIGHLIGHTS

Three highlights from this year’s Gaia collection:

Bluebell – a dramatic ballgown in the most beautiful blue. With 3D floral detailing, off-the-shoulder straps, a structured bodice and cathedral-length train.

Gypsophilia – A soft a-line gown with an illusion-panelled bodice. Covered with delicate pearls and pearl straps. detailing.

Tulip – a fitted gown with a boned illusion bodice and draping at the waist. Made from a shimmering beaded fabric.

And from The One:

Alex – a soft beaded gown with a fitted skirt and chapel chapel-length train and detachable matching sleeves.

Drew – an A-line gown with a square neckline and low back. Created using a soft, modern floral lace fabric.

Jessie – a shimmering botanical lace bodice, low square back and soft chiffon skirt.
