WINterview with Kenneth Winston

We love learning about our bridal labels, and last week we caught up with Kenneth, from Kenneth Winston to find out a little more about this fabulous label and to hear what they have in store for 2024... We also have an exclusive peek at the beautiful new collection, landing in stores across the UK.

So, Kenneth Winston – what’s the story behind the name?

Simple, it’s the name of my brother and I. It wasn’t even something we thought of doing, it actually came as a suggestion from one of our sales representatives in the US. We slowly started to brand it from Private Label by G to Kenneth Winston and overtime just stuck with, Kenneth Winston

What makes the Kenneth Winston label stand out? What’s its USP?

Tradition and Family are rooted in the company. My Mother and Father had a plan from the beginning on how they wanted to stand out from the rest and have kept that same message through and through.

Who designs for the label?

My Mother still overlooks all the designs and has the final say, while one and the other creates the samples

What inspired the latest collection?

Simplicity and not overdoing any items. We wanted to stay true to the details and beauty of the embellishments and make sure we didn’t overshadow any single item

Is it a trend-maker or a dedicated follower of fashion?

A little bit of both but with our own little Kenneth Winston Touch

How was Bridal Week for you?

We love seeing our retailers and industry friends at the shows! The collections were really well received and we were excited about the buzz around the new designs

What else is planned for 2023/4?

We are planning in-store Designer Day events and are looking forward to sending the new samples to the stores!

What do you offer boutiques that work with you?

We offer an incredibly high level of customer service with a knowledgeable head office team backed up by the USA office. We offer design changes with everything from adding a sleeve, raising both front and back necklines and adding extra applique to lengthening trains and adding sparkle layers.

Our service also includes 3 different lengths as standard and offers split sizing, made-to-measurement and no charges for plus-size dresses

We have dresses available for Designer Day Events and sample loans and we also offer instore training for our products to ensure everything we can offer is explained properly to those working with the brides to make sure they are confident during every KW appointment

We do not insist on minimum orders and offer flexible payment plans to ensure cash flow is as easy as possible for our retailers.

Describe the classic Kenneth Winston bride.

Our bride is a confident, strong bride who knows what she wants. She wants to be elegant and sophisticated on her wedding day but also wants to show her own style and originality.
